A bit about Mariesa!
Mariesa (she/they) is a theatre artist currently based in her beautiful hometown of Seattle, Washington. Her first ballet performance at three years old sparked a love for the stage that eventually blossomed into a love of storytelling through movement and song. After four years training at the Village Theatre Kidstage Institute program, Mariesa attended Marymount Manhattan College and received a BFA in Musical Theatre Performance. Since then they have been continuing their training (the learning never stops!) and performing all around the greater Seattle area.
Mariesa is also a proud neurodivergent and genderqueer person. They are passionate about mental health care and currently work for a neuropsychiatric treatment center. When not performing, you can find Mariesa diving into a variety of new crafts. They embrace the joy of artistic creation in all its forms, and believe in not feeling the need to “master” an art form or profit off of it. Other interests include anything beauty-related (especially hair colors and styles), social media creation, and choreographing to her latest music obsessions.
